Data from this site is based on direct meteorological observation of local weather conditions using instruments located near the intersection of Coit Road and Bonita Drive in Plano, Texas. Other data is mined from the National Weather Service in Fort Worth and the Doppler radar array (FWS) in southern Tarrant County. Hydrologic data is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District. METAR observations older than two (2) hours are not displayed. Local storm tracking is achieved using image analysis software specifically created for this site. The system automatically analyzes radar imagery from FWS and identifies, categorizes and tracks any storm cell that may affect the Russell Creek community.
